Rev. Dr C.P.Preston Jr. a native Miamian, Is a visionary leader who has dedicated his life to enriching the lives around him by teaching and expounding God's Word. Under Pastor Preston's anointed leadership, Peaceful Zion Missionary Baptist Church membership has grown from 350 to over 4,000 and rapidly expanding

 

On Wednesday, June 18.2005 1986, Rev. C.P.Preston Jr. was called as the sixth pastor of Peaceful Zion, He was ordained to the gospel Ministry on Sunday, July 18.1986. Rev. Henry L. Smith, President, Congress of Christian Education of the Florida East Coast Missionary Baptist Association and Pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church-Homested,Florida, delivered the Ordination Sermon, " Stick With The Script ". Rev. Billy Baskin, Pastor of New Way Baptist Church charged the Church and Rev. Arthur Jackson, Jr., President of the Ministers' and Deacons' Union - Southern Division and Pastor of New Shiloh Baptist Church, charged Rev Preston the Pastor.

 

In addition to his hard work as Pastor, Rev Preston is a recognized leader throughout the State of Florida. He served as President of the Laymen's Department of the Florida East Coast Missionary Baptist Ass. and President of the Ministers' and Deacons' Union - Southern Division of FECMBA. He also served as 4th Vice President, 3rd Vice President, 2nd Vice President of the Florida General Baptist State Conference. Pastor Preston Jr, presently serves as Moderator of The Florida East Coast Missionary Baptist Association and 1st Vice President of The Florida General Baptist State Convention and serves as a board member for each. Rev. Preston is also one of the charter founders of the Florida Consortium of Faith-Based Organization Inc. Rev. Preston is a graduate of Miami Carol City Senior High School, He eared his Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Florida Memorial College in Miami, Florida and a Master's Degree in Theology from the North Florida Baptist Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, Florida. He earned his Master's Degree in in Education with Certification in Administration and Supervision from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

        Rev Preston is Married to the former Robyn M. Washington. They have three children two sons, Terrell and Clinton Jamel and one daughter, Carla Preston. Rev Preston is the son of the late Rev. C.P.PrestonSr., Mrs. Teaster Preston. ( Peaceful Zion 5th Pastor and First Lady)
